My reflection on what we did in the groups this past week is a mix of many thoughts and feelings since we talked about three chapters I could reflect from the button of myself starting with the culture and how each of the cultures communicates each other not only the way they speak but they transfers and express al the values beliefs, attitudes in their culture, and I could see what are the values that I have like trying to be always fair when it comes to sex, race, age, and disability.

My classmates also were talking about the prejudice that exists in the United States, and that is a good thing because younger people like us, realize that those practices have to be deleted and not judge other cultures just because of their religion or nationality, like the Islamic state that has been so prejudiced.

Another topic we discussed in the presentation that I consider relevant is disability and inclusion because disability does not mean inability, cause we all agree that that means a person who can not succeed in life or anything they wish to succeed, and I think everyone in life has different abilities to contribute in life.

Another of the topics that my classmates shared with us is masculinity and feminity and that is one of the things that must be discussed in a group of class because masculinity is characteristics that express superiority, and more valued than women such as competitiveness and performance which is a practice of some countries but I think if we continue to talk and discuss this even more often we can radicate those practices even in our working environment family environment or in our daily life and the same happens with women in some cases like a feminine culture that exist currently in some countries, and all those practices sometimes can be bad when they go to the limit.

Another aspect we can say is fundamental is culture shock and that can happen especially when we go to a different country with a culture completely different to ours, that can be beneficial in our lives because we become open-minded and we accept those differences positively, and we learn to tolerate the people, and we build our personality not being selfish or we develop flexibility by adjusting our communication skills with others and we develop empathy at the same time, that's why this theme was so interesting to be discussed in a group.

The next topic we discussed in class was communication between groups and that topic I find so interesting as well because my classmates provided good examples of what a group is It tells us the importance of sharing goals to fulfill a goal or a motivation and one of the best example is a family group because they share communication and generate a sense of home and because families are the central part of our lives as a group which constitutes support. when we talk about a support group can be helpful by encouraging honest feedback and we can feel a safe environment, and that is something we can feel as a group in this class when we respect each other in we pay attention to each other because all of us have the same goal and that was at least what my feeling was.

Something that I liked was the interest groups, and tell us something that we share in common like a passion a specific activity, hobbies or if we are part of an organization and for that, we can include the politicians or social groups to achieve a specif change in the society. Another type of group that is common and necessary in the society is the charitable groups that are also called voluntary groups, that help others to raise money with different activities, and finally, another common group this day with the technology that we have, are the virtual groups that have become an essential part to solve problems and conflicts in the society without having to be present at a specific location or different times, and that is one of the daily practices we have in our lives, trying to communicate with a big group of people at the same time like my group and my classmates did.

Talking about groups in this class made me think about how diverse is the group organization we have and how we can apply them to contribute and adjust for our necessities. But at some point in some groups may exist an exchange of opinions that can lead to a conflict and each group member become defensive, but there can always be methods and guides we can follow to relieve the conflict like meditation, empathy, and facilitation, At the end of the day each group has to deal with different guidelines or tips to be an effective group like being clear on what the group wants to accomplish, be respectful and listen, and most important ask for help.

The next topic we talked about in our class was leadership and problem solving and tell us about the capacity of a person to take responsibility for guiding and influencing a group to achieve a common goal in my own experience that a leader can be anyone who motivates and encourages a group of people sharing new ideas or trying not to be more important than other in that group, A group leader can define important tasks and roles each one must fulfill for the job to be completed satisfactorily and it all sums up to the effectiveness of each group following the leader.

this taught me that a good leader also shows up on time and is ready, being mentally and physically present lets everyone participate listen and think before speaking, i think most of us will have to practice one or more of those practices to succeed and achieve our goal and helping others.

Finally, one of the steps a group and leader must follow is learning how to assess evaluate and mitigate any problem, and a leader must be able to guide in that process for example, when a conflict exists the group must be able to perceive all of the circumstances that are happening around, which means gathering all relevant information about the problem, and will allow you to perceive the situation and the environment in which the problem is developed.

Then we have to process the information the group gather, evaluate its  impact, and determine your best course of action this analysis will continue as the group receive new information related to the problem and finally perform by implementing the best course of

Action and then based on those results, the group leader will decide whether to continue with the action or make any change. All that can be applied in a written format or by an oral format by making each member participate according to the leader's instruction to mitigate a certain problem.
